ARESCA Board Members Ebner and Kelly Receive Prestigious IEC Awards

The IEC recently announced the presentation of two awards, one to Mr. George Kelly and one to Mr. Wallace Ebner.
The IEC The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is the world’s leading organization that prepares and publishes International Standards for all electrical, electronic, and related technologies. Close to 20,000 experts from industry, commerce, government, test and research labs, academia and consumer groups participate in IEC Standardization work.
Mr. Wallace Ebner (left) was awarded a 1906 award for his contributions over many years in the development of standards. The IEC 1906 Award was established in commemoration of the Commission’s foundation in that year and honors technical experts around the world whose work is fundamental to the IEC.
Mr. George Kelly (right) was awarded the Thomas Edison award for his critical role as secretary for numerous IEC committees and working groups. Created in 2010, the Thomas A. Edison Award recognizes exceptional achievement, dedicated service and significant contributions to the IEC through the effective management of their committees of currently active TC/SC officers (Chairman, Secretary or Assistant Secretary of a Technical Committee or Subcommittee) and officers of the IEC Conformity Assessment Systems and their subsidiary bodies. The award is in honor of the renowned US electrical engineer Thomas A. Edison.
