BACKGROUND:

WG 501 drafted OD 501 Ed. 2, which is now being submitted for Membership approval. As requested by the WE-OMC Vice-Chair, this document is sent out for voting by correspondence, comments, if any, can be discussed during the upcoming WE-OMC meeting in April 2018 in Glasgow, UK, if needed. .

Comments received on ed. 1 were sent to WG 501 who worked through the comments at WG 501 meeting in Beijing at the end of January 2018. The WG’s response to the comments are included in WE-OMC/249A/CC, which is being published as a separate document at the same time as this voting document. OD-501 ed. 2 includes the updated text with track changes so members can clearly see how the comments have been incorporated in the OD.

Some of the comments refer to updates and improvements that will need to be discussed after the summer of 2018, when WG 501 plans to start a thorough revision on the content which so far was not possible due to time constraints based on the withdrawal of IEC 61400-22.

ACTION:

The WE-OMC Member Bodies to approve draft OD-501 ed.2.0, effective immediately. Ballots are to be returned to the IECRE Secretariat ([email protected]) no later than 2018-04-19.

NOTE: USNC/IECRE ballots to be submitted within two weeks to allow for resolution of any comments prior to the IEC deadline.
