BACKGROUND:

The CAB recently approved a 2nd Edition of the IEC CA 01 document. These changes justify an update to the IECRE Supplement. Further, the REMC voted previously to allow 4 delegates to attend the REMC meeting which is now reflected in the updated IECRE Supplement.

WG 001 has updated the IECRE Supplement to an Edition 2 for your approval and it is attached here. The REMC Member Bodies are encouraged to approve this updated Supplement immediately. Following REMC approval, the 2nd Edition IECRE Supplement will be sent to the CAB for their approval.

WG 001 proposes an implementation date for the IEC CA 01 Ed. 2 and the IECRE Supplement Ed. 2 of July 1st, 2018, pending both REMC and CAB approval.

ACTION:
The REMC Member Bodies to approve the IECRE Supplement. Ballots are to be returned to the IECRE Secretariat ([email protected]) no later than 2017-10-18.

NOTE: USNC/IECRE ballots to be submitted within two weeks to allow for resolution of any comments prior to the IEC deadline.
