Description

Background:

The first term of office of the PV-OMC Chair will end on 2017-12-31. Therefore, in accordance with IEC CA 01 clause 9.1, the REMC will need to appoint a Chair for the PV-OMC with a term commencing on 2018-01-01 and ending 2020-12-31:

9.1 The Chair and any Vice-Chair or Secretary of Committees reporting to the CA System MC shall be appointed by the CA System MC upon nomination by the Committee seeking to appoint such Officers.

The term of office of the Chair and Vice Chair of the Committees reporting to the CA System MC shall be three years and they shall be eligible for re-appointment for one further period of three years. The procedure indicated in 8.10 shall be used regarding call for nominations and reappointment.

At the 2017-06-19 PV-OMC meeting (see PV-OMC/090/RM, PV-OMC Decision 16/2017), Mr. Adrian Häring was nominated for a second term as PV-OMC Chair.

In accordance with IEC CA 01 clause 9.1, the REMC needs to appoint the PV-OMC Chair

Action:

The REMC Member Bodies to appoint the PV-OMC Chair for a second term of office. Ballots are to be returned to the IECRE Secretariat (secretariat@iecre.org) no later than 2017-08-25.
