In the sixth REMC meeting held on 2019-11-18 and 2019-1-19 in Feldkirch, Austria, following the recommendations and discussions related to REMC/370A/R have concluded in decisions 10/2019 and 12/2019 called for establishing a task force OD & Rating for the PV sector:
Decision 10/2019: The REMC approved the creation of a TF “PV Rating System” and assigned Thomas Sauer as the Convenor of that TF, as per the revised recommendation A.7.2 from REMC/370A/R.
Decision 12/2019: The REMC approved the modified recommendation A.2 from REMC/370A/R to establish a TF “PV Operational Documents” with the mission to reform the PV OD structure and content. The Secretariat will send out a call for Convenor and Members.
The TF 5 “OD & Rating” has now been formed and has conducted its inaugural meeting on 2 July 2020. Unanimously, the participating TF 5 members (representing 75% of the TF 5 members) request the ToR to be established as follows:
Reform and rework the PV related OD structure and contents by creation of deliverables that are well described and that appear to be acceptable by the PV market.
Propose the ODs defining the processes and requirements for the PV rating system, and ensure that any PV rating system is coherent with those ODs.
Develop guidance for the PV SWG to create new stakeholder groups that are necessary to attract participation to the IECRE PV system.
Action:
The REMC Member Bodies To approve the Terms of Reference (ToR) of the Task Force 5 OD & Rating outlined under point 2 above.
Ballots are to be returned to the IECRE Secretariat ([email protected]) no later than 2020-08-20.
NOTE: USNC/IECRE ballots are to be submitted within thirty days to allow for resolution of any comments prior to the IEC deadline.
