As per IECRE 03 Edition 2.0: issued on 2018-08-14
8.1.2 For RETL acceptance for power performance assessment of electricity producing tidal, wave and river energy converters, over a period of 3 years from the approval of this document, a self-assessment scheme will be in place which will negate the need for on-site peer assessment. An initial RETL Assessment Checklist that will be used for peer assessment is provided in OD 300-200. This self-assessment scheme is outlined below.
8.1.2.7 Peer Assessment Team
During the period allowing self-assessment, the peer assessment team will include the ME OMC officers and the REMC Executive Secretary. Subsequently, a peer assessment team will be establish including a ME lead assessor and REMC Executive Secretary.
The ME-SWG Convenor, Mr Jonathan Colby and the IECRE Executive Secretary, Mr Wolfram Zeitz have reviewed EMEC’s application and recommend to the REMC to approve European Marine Energy Centre as IECRE RETL as per the above-mentioned process.
Action:
The REMC Member Bodies to approve of the Marine Energy RETL European Marine Energy Centre for Electricity producing tidal energy converters – Power performance assessment within the IECRE System.
Ballots are to be returned to the IECRE Secretariat no later than 2020-08-06.
NOTE: USNC/IECRE ballots are to be submitted within thirty days to allow for resolution of any comments prior to the IEC deadline.
