Description

Background:

Today almost all countries are affected by the global Covid19 pandemic. Our thoughts are with those directly affected by the virus and all those whose normal lives have changed as we try to deal with a new norm. Whilst the health, safety and wellbeing of everyone is paramount, we should endeavour, insofar as is possible to continue our lives as normal and continue business.

The work of the IECRE System can continue in many different ways without too much disruption, however with many countries advising against all but essential travel, the current model of on-site visits for RECB, RETL and RECTF Assessments is not possible.

Within the Wind Sector we have a number of mainly RECTF and RETL applicants at various stages of the assessment process who would like to continue the process. Normal business outside of the System is in many regards continuing.

In order to continue the work of the System the following is proposed to Member Bodies for their approval, the proposal has the unanimous consent of WE-SWG.

Due to the lack of defined assessment processes in the Marine and PV Solar sectors, as well as the limited applicability time wise of this proposal, it is applicable to Wind assessments only.

Action:

The REMC Member Bodies to approve of the proposal to REMC on remote CB, TL and CFT assessments during the Covid19 Pandemic.

Ballots are to be returned to the IECRE Secretariat ([email protected]) no later than
2020-06-15.

NOTE: USNC/IECRE ballots are to be submitted within thirty days to allow for resolution of any comments prior to the IEC deadline.
