Description

Background:
At the 10th WE-OMC meeting held in Pretoria, South Africa on 2019-05-09/10, the SG 551 Convener made a proposal, see extract taken from WE-OMC/417/RM:
“Mr. Eric Effern explained that due to a misunderstanding during the budget meeting, the RETL lump sum of 2000 CHF became mandatory rather than optional, which was not the intent of SG 551. Since the budget was already approved, SG 551 proposed to extend the benefits of the lump sum option to cover 2020 as well. It was further noted that a clarification in the 4th bullet was needed, clarifying that the lump sum fee is for 1000 CHF.”
Decision 02/2019: The WE-OMC approved recommendation A.1 of report WE-OMC/388/R, extending the validity of the 2019 RETL lump sum option to also cover test reports issued in 2020 and requested that the Secretariat submit the proposal from SG 551 to the REMC for approval to revise clause 3.7 of OD-001, with the clarification in the 4th bullet that the lump sum fee is for 1000 CHF.

Based on the above proposal and agreement of the REMC Chair, changes have been made to OD-001 which is now being submitted to the REMC Member Bodies as OD-001 Ed.6 for approval.

Action:

NOTE: USNC/IECRE ballots are to be submitted within two weeks to allow for resolution of any comments prior to the IEC deadline.
